DCF FINALLY Wants to Seriously Investigate Schiavo Allegations

Terri Schiavo Possibly Abused, Florida Agency Wants 60 Days to Investigate is the headline on LifeNews.com could be the most welcome turn to date in this whole wreched affair. Of course thanatocrats ; Mikey Schiavo and Georgie "Porgie" Felos aren't taking this lying down:

"George Felos, the euthanasia advocate who is Michael's lead attorney, says the investigation is another attempt by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to get involved in the case when Florida courts have told him he can't."

Could the DCF action be too late?

"In 2003, Pinellas State Attorney Bernie McCabe looked into the matter but said the statute of limitations had run out on investigating the bone scan and that it was too old to be used."

While I am no lawyer, I would think that the prior failure of the agency to take the matter seriously would toll the statute.
But in the end, this is all a moot in that Terri Schiavo is not comatose, brain dead nor in a persistant vegetative state (PVS). How could a judge in the US allow this to happen? Considering that we hafe five justices on the US Supreme Court who are on record that they often look to foreign precedents rather than the US Constitution...well, you have your answer there. Apparently Judge Greer looks to Sweedish precedents.
