John Kerry's latest misrepresentation is probably his cruelest. Many are looking to stem cell research to ease suffering for a number of maladies. Not the least of which is alzheimers. There is no research ban, there never was. There was a restriction on receiving federal funding, namely no use of embrionic cells.
Private funded research has no such restriction and private funding levels are currently being funded at twice (or more) than the money Kerry is proposing for research.
Mr. Kerry, if you are going make bombastic claims like this, at least make equally bombastic offers of remedy. Then again, he pretty much did.
